Rockstar Games released a statement in September confirming that the leaked videos and images of the game were totally real. The rumors highlight that it will be released in 2024, but the reality is that as long as GTA V continues to sell as well and GTA Online does not stop generating money, the release of GTA VI is in no hurry. This is the question we are all looking forward to, but the reality is that we still have no release date. Of course, this refers to the entire game, that is, the main story will be shorter. As we still have no official information, we can only guess, although we already know that we will have the possibility to choose both of them, as it happened with Michael, Franklin and Trevor in GTA V.Īs for the duration of the game, sources close to the development point out that completing the entire map will take between 300 and 400 hours. Apparently, Jason wants to change the course of his life within the police, while Lucia aspires to lead an important drug cartel. These are the provisional names of the GTA VI characters, a pair of twin siblings who come from the underworld.įrom here on, the data on these characters is blurred, that is, we only have rumors. GTA VI will have two main characters: Lucia and Jason. We put “who”, but we should really say “who”. Rockstar Games must be hallucinating with the community. Yes, it is a real wonder what the user ChurchofGTA has done on Reddit. The work of the community and GTA lovers is such that even as a result of the images that appeared on social networks, they have been creating coordinates on a fictional map to recreate a real one. However, instead of going all the way back to the 80’s, we are now in the “present day”. ![]() Inspired in Miami (United States), we know it is this city from the details revealed to the press, as well as from the videos that were leaked on the Internet, where you could see inscriptions such as “Vice City Metro” or VCPD, which refers to Vice City Police Department. As a result, the composites created tended to be unnaturally lit, messy, or just plain ugly. Most of the settings were determined manually, which seems ideal on the surface – but the process was often overly technical and very poorly explained. The HDR compositing process was often a frustrating experience in the past. ![]() It’s compatible with Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Lightroom Classic CC on both Windows and Macs, and Mac users can also use it with Adobe Photoshop Elements, Apple Aperture, and Apple Photos. In addition to working as a standalone program, Aurora HDR can also be used as a plugin for other programs if you’ve already got an established workflow that you’re happy with. My testing certainly bore out these claims, and I was quite impressed by the quality of the composites that the new engine creates without any help from the user. ![]() Image processing is one area where machine learning has really taken incredible strides even in just the last year.Īccording to their press release for the launch, “Whether you’re working with bracketed shots or a single image, the Quantum HDR Engine tones down oversaturated colors, loss of contrast, and noise, as well as reduces unnatural lighting caused by halos and unstable deghosting.” Oftentimes when companies claim to be using artificial intelligence it’s just marketing hype, but in the case of the Quantum HDR Engine it really does seem to have some merit. The biggest change is their new compositing method known as the Quantum HDR Engine, which they describe is being ‘powered by AI’. Rather than wasting your time with an endless series of bad HDR editors, follow along with my review process and use the time you save for more photoshoots! Detailed Review of Aurora HDRĭespite the fact that only a year has passed since the release of the previous version, Aurora HDR 2019 has some great new additions. I’ve watched the technology mature and felt its growing pains as the software gradually became more and more popular – and even (eventually) user-friendly. Accessible HDR photography was in its very early stages then, as most people outside of science labs hadn’t even heard the term before. Hi, my name is Thomas Boldt, and I’ve been experimenting with HDR photography since I first got serious about digital photography over a decade ago. What I Don’t Like: Localized retouching a bit limited. Batch processing could be improved, and it would be nice to get a bit more control over the compositing process with layer-based editing, but these are fairly minor issues in an otherwise excellent program. New users will love the simple workflow, and users of Aurora’s previous versions will appreciate the tone mapping improvements provided by the Quantum HDR Engine. Many of the other dedicated HDR editors available are virtually unusable and produce terrible composites, but Aurora takes all the hassle out of the process. Once the tone mapped image is ready, making further adjustments is just as simple and intuitive as editing a typical RAW image.Īurora HDR is easily one of the best HDR software available today. Compositing is fast, even with automatic noise removal enabled across 5+ high-resolution source images. The new Quantum HDR Engine does an excellent job of automatically tone mapping your images, and automatic alignment and de-ghosting correct any camera or subject movement between your bracketed images. ![]() ![]() Aurora HDR takes the complex process of HDR compositing and makes it extremely simple. ![]() The iconic symbols evolution into a beacon for good has been implied throughout the years in many Batman stories, but its never been explicitly shown on this scale until now. To put it another way: no matter how divided, fractured, or dark the city may seem to be on the surface, you just have to look up and find the light.īatman Day is this Saturday, September 19th! For all the latest on this year's celebration, check out our official Batman Day home page. The Bat-Signal has similarly evolved as it once represented fear and vengeance and now is used as a symbol of hope to rally others. It lets Gotham know that, even if you can’t see him, Batman is there. Sure, there are other ways to get a hold of Batman, but the Bat-Signal can do it in a manner that’s unifying. It’s lo-fi and a little clunky, but its charm is in its simplicity. That’s why, even with a Batcave packed to the brim with the latest innovative technology, the Bat-Signal may just be the best gadget in the entire Batman universe. Residents would look up and feel a sense of safety, support and pride. Criminals would look up and think twice about their nefarious dealings. And it brought Batman closer to the people on the streets as well, even though they never knew his true identity. The Bat-Signal brought Batman closer to Commissioner Gordon, who would become as much of a member of the Batman Family as any superhero sidekick over the years. And, in turn, showing the city that there was reason to believe in The Bat-to believe that light could prevail over darkness. While the Caped Crusader may not have won over the entire force, clearly his heroics resonated with Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, showing Batman that perhaps he wasn’t alone in this battle for justice after all. But then, all of a sudden, a strange beacon of light started shining directly from the GCPD building, beckoning Batman for help. This created a sense of wariness among Gotham’s citizenry-a dubious suspicion in their minds that questioned whether he was ultimately friend or foe. Throughout his crimefighting career, Batman has always walked the line between superhero and vigilante, undoubtedly delivering justice but doing so in the shadows and largely without support from law enforcement authorities. So, what is it about this invention that’s allowed it to take on a life of its own and become a character itself?įor starters, it’s what it represents. It’s been a part of nearly every Batman comic book storyline been featured in countless movies, television episodes, and video games and has even lit up the skies in real-life cities all around the world to celebrate Batman’s 80th anniversary. ![]() A summoning call to Batman and a symbol that strikes fear into the hearts of Gotham City’s criminals, this contraption perched atop GCPD headquarters has come to represent justice almost as much as the Dark Knight himself. Springing forth from the pages of Detective Comics #60 in 1942, readers were introduced to what would become the most iconic searchlight in history. Take Stage 32 with you! The resulting loot can be traded for a plethora of rider gear as well as rewards from Uplay. As you progress through the game you can amass XP and collect virtual cash rewards for completing certain challenges and tracks within certain time frames. I always felt the need to better my previous score, and of course beat those ahead of me who are on my friends list. This is where the addiction factor comes into play. The rewards are greater for those that are patient, but be forewarned, this game will make you want to hurl your controller across the room more then you imagine. I began to hotdog it after only 15 or 20 mins of painful crashes and bails. The learning curve for a rookie to the game can be a bit steep, but the extra work pays off in the end. Nobody ever wants to use the brake button, but to successfully navigate some of the intricate pathways in the game you will need to master both brake and accelerator. If you hammer the gas when your rider leans too far forward while attempting any kind of jump you will find yourself cartwheeling and landing on your virtual head more often than not. It takes an intuitive touch to figure out how to balance your speed and the position of your rider effectively. The well laid out control scheme helps, although I found I was hitting the gas far hard and would wipe myself out repeatedly. Until that arrives, though, you'll have to rely on the level creator and community-generated tracks to hold your attention outside of the main game.Controlling your particular ride is fairly easy in theory, but on the practical side things can get a little dicey quite quickly. A similar and supposedly better "Competition" mode is due to fill that void within the next few months, but that doesn't excuse its absence at launch. Sure, the leaderboards give you one way to compete against the world, but the side-by-side supercross racing of Trials Evolution is nowhere to be found. Then there's the lack of true online multiplayer. The game's menu screens are a jumbled, awful mess, fand 3D models on the bike selection screen take almost as long to load as levels do (Xbox One digital copy). But, with this comes the promise of fruitless evenings, sleepless nights and premature aging.Īs much as we're suckers for classic Trials gameplay, there are some notable issues with Fusion. Only the truly committed will be rewarded with the euphoria that is nailing a perfect run and climbing the leaderboards while your friends wallow in anonymity. Tracks get much longer, and much harder, pretty quickly, and there's nothing new in Fusion that'll prevent a casual gamer from succumbing to the grind. New tracks, better graphics: Sold.įusion doesn't tamper with the formula of its ancestors for good reason, but that probably means you'll either like it, or you won't. Variety's no bad thing, but fundamentally this instalment is the same as every other Trials game before it, which is awesome. Track challenges, too, give you other objectives to focus on when racing the clock has you burnt out, but don't take that to mean they're easy. The baby of a long line of trials-based titles, Fusion introduces a basic trick system for use on special, stunt-orientated levels that add a little variety to the classic game mode. These are the tools you have at your disposal, and combined with the game's realistic (or should we say predictable?) physics engine, all you'll need. Just it's more arcadey, and probably harder. As its name suggests, Trials Fusion is based on the sport of motorcycle trials, with some motocross mixed in. You must successfully navigate an obstacle course in the least possible time, mistakes not recommended. As with other games of this genre like Super Meat Boy or the Super Monkey Ball series, to name a few, the premise is devilishly simple. However, it's only from the epicentre of this nightmare, through the tired workings of your callused, nail-bitten hands, that one experiences true gaming gratification. ![]() Trials Fusion is one of those games: A repetitive, soul-destroying platformer that'll have you playing the same level for hours on end, all in the hope you'll shave mere milliseconds from your previous best.
